The number of operating oil and gas rigs in the United States has increased
MOSCOW, 26 Sep — PRIME. The number of active oil and gas drilling rigs in the United States increased for the second week in a row during the reporting week. At the same time, total installs could fall for the second month in a row for the month as supply chain disruptions and rising inflation continue to weigh on production. This was reported on Friday by the oilfield service company Baker Hughes.

The number of active oil and gas rigs, a leading production indicator, rose by 1 unit to 764 units in the week of September 17-23, according to Baker Hughes.
The number of drilling rigs is 243 units or 47% higher than in the same period last year.
The number of oil drilling rigs in the reporting week increased by 3 units, up to 602 units. The number of gas drilling rigs was reduced by 2 units to 160 units.
In August, the number of oil and gas drilling rigs declined after rising for 24 months. As a result of September, the number of oil and gas installations may also decrease.
