This tool is able to replace the AMD optimization algorithm that comes integrated with Ryzen 5000 processors with some effectiveness. With the software, users will be able to choose different overclocking profiles, either to obtain the maximum possible performance or to operate at lower voltages and reduce consumption.

Each profile has different CPU speed and voltage configuration settings designed to be used in different types of workeither single threaded, multithreaded, and idle. In case the user wants to save his own overclocking configuration, the program also allows adding and adjusting new profiles.

Project Hydra is designed to operate as safely as possible, using recommended voltages very close to the standards used by AMD in Ryzen processors. Bubliy says it is not necessary to turn up the voltage further, because it is possible to overclock and take out almost the full potential of the CPU with the manufacturer’s default settings.

Two versions, one free and one paid

Despite being a “safe” tool, it is worth remembering that overclocking any AMD processor will void the warranty, even using AMD’s own Ryzen Master tool. For the latter we will have to pay since it comes with additional features, although the developer himself points out that it is not necessary to buy that version, mainly because only some CPUs support paid functions.
