The Radeon HD 7990 will be released on Computex in June

Enthusiasts and overclockers who can not keep their fingers off the fastest graphics cards that can be bought for money will in the not too distant future get more options from AMD and Nvidia. The green team will release the Geforce GTX 690 in a couple of days while the Radeon camp is still filing on the model known by the codename New Zealand.

Turkish Donanimhaber now reports that the Radeon HD 7990 “New Zealand” will be released at the IT trade fair Computex on June 5-9 in Taipei, Taiwan. Just as expected, this is a graphics card that in practice is double up from the Radeon HD 7970.

That means two “Tahiti XT” graphics processors with a total of 4,096 stream processors, two 384-bit memory buses and a total of 6 GB of GDDR5 memory. The graphics card is also said to be equipped with video outputs for up to six screens simultaneously.
