The roguelike shooter Returnal has a new release date – April 30

Sony Interactive Entertainment has tweeted the PlayStation blog to postpone the release date for the PS5 exclusive, Returnal.

Prior to this tweet, Housemarque’s roguelike shooter was slated for release on March 19, 2021. But according to the developers, they do not have time for the designated date and after consulting with them, Sony Interactive Entertainment went to postpone the release date of the game. Sony is confident that this will be beneficial to the project, as it gives the development team more time to bring the level of game quality to what players expect

Returnal will be the most ambitious Housemarque game to date, combining third-person shooter with roguelike elements that are very interestingly linked to the plot.

After crash-landing in a shape-shifting world, astronaut Selena must find her way out in the lifeless landscape of ancient civilization. All alone, she struggles to survive. Again and again she is defeated – she has to start her journey every time she dies.

Given that the release delay is not that great in the PlayStation Store, pre-orders did not stop.
