The RTX 3080 12GB would have 8960 Cuda Cores, it would have a hashrate 20% higher than that of the 10GB model

Although it is not yet clear if the launch of the RTX 3080 12GB was canceled or not, we know that partners were preparing different models based on this card, and according to Videocardz reports, these models had 8960 Cuda Cores instead of the 8704 which has the RTX 3080 10GB, a small increase that still leaves this card and the RTX 3080 Ti of 10240 Cuda Cores well separated.

Videocardz also mentions the increase of the bus from 320 bits to 384 bits, which was obvious to be able to accommodate the 12GB of VRAM, and that this 20% increase in its bus and therefore in bandwidth will translate into a 20% hashrate increase as well. While it does not have actual proof of the graph, the article mentions that the official Nvidia figure is that it reaches 52MH / s with active LHR, compared to 43MH / s that the RTX 3080 reaches with LHR. In this way, when using some mining software such as NBMiner that allows to evade part of the LHR system and take the hashrate to 70% instead of 50% and overclocked the memories, you will obtain almost 90MH / s, which the RTX 3080 usually obtains. You, at a lower cost.

At the moment the launch of this RTX 3080 12GB was indefinitely paused, and it is not known if we will see a launch or not, although we will keep you posted on any news.
