The State Duma believes that sabotage on the Nord Stream is beneficial to the United States

SIMFEROPOL, 30 Sep — PRIME. Sabotage on the Nord Stream lines is beneficial only to the United States, since they will be able to supply large volumes of liquefied gas to the EU countries and dictate their pricing policy, said State Duma deputy from the Crimean region Mikhail Sheremet.

“The perpetrators of sabotage on gas pipelines have yet to be identified. In the meantime, it is obvious that putting them out of action is beneficial only to one country – the United States, which has long been trying to enslave and tame the EU countries by putting them on an energy needle from liquefied gas supplies. Now the United States can dictate its pricing policy, selling its dirty gas at three times the price,” the RIA Novosti deputy said.

Sheremet believes that the EU countries, and above all Germany, should remember their self-esteem and stop behaving like a vassal and an errand boy for the Americans.

“Sabotage on gas pipelines is not so much an attempt to harm Russia, but someone’s desire to put EU countries into energy dependence and hopelessness and an attack primarily on the German economy, whose industry is highly dependent on cheap Russian gas supplies,” he explained.
