The West has taken a hysterical position on Nord Stream, Peskov said

At the moment, the Kremlin does not understand what kind of international cooperation in the restoration of the Nord Streams can Russia count on against the backdrop of the hysterically antagonistic position of the entire collective West. This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.

“There is an understanding that it needs to be restored, there is an understanding that, in general, anything can be restored … It is not clear what kind of international cooperation in this situation we can count on, given such a hysterically antagonistic position of the entire collective West in relation to our countries, and it is not clear, of course, we still have to survey these areas, and understand what is down there, what is there at the bottom, in order to understand the size of the disaster,” he said.

So the official representative of the Kremlin answered the question of journalists about the possibility of international cooperation to restore the Nord Streams, as well as the timing of the work.

Last week, incidents occurred simultaneously on two Russian gas export pipelines to Europe. According to information from the Danish and Swedish authorities, two gas leaks were discovered at Nord Stream and one at Nord Stream 2 near Bornholm Island. Berlin, Copenhagen and Stockholm did not rule out targeted sabotage.

As Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak stated, there are technical possibilities for the restoration of gas pipelines, but this requires time and appropriate funds.
