There are already more than 100 games with DLSS support, Alan Wake Remastered will use it at its launch

NVIDIA revealed that 28 titles have been added to the list of games using DLSS, surpassing the figure of 100 games with this technology. According to NVIDIA, this recent increase is due to the release of the DLSS plugin in Unreal Engine 4 that allows any developer to implement DLSS in their game.

Recall that NVIDIA released plugins for free for Unreal Engine 4, Unreal Engine 5 and Unity, which allows many indie developers to have access to this technology and that the titles achieve a performance improvement with easy-to-implement tools.

Alan Wake Remastered will have DLSS support

We recently saw that Alan Wake Remastered would have support for DLSS on its official website, and now NVIDIA confirms that this option will be available from its launch, and shows us what to expect in terms of performance when activating this technology:

As shown by Nvidia, even an RTX 2060 will be able to achieve 60 FPS in 4K when activating DLSS “Performance”, showing the enormous benefits of this technology in RTX graphics.

Along with this game, many indie games have also been added to this list of games that support DLSS, which already exceeds 100 titles:

  • Anatomy Of Fear
  • Apocalypse: 2.0 Edition
  • Beyond Enemy Lines 2
  • Bodies of Water VR
  • ChronoTecture: The Eprologue
  • Cions of Vega
  • Death Realm
  • DeepStates [VR]
  • Exit From
  • Fall Balance Ball
  • Frozenheim
  • Helios
  • Höll Space 5D6
  • Last Hope On Earth
  • Loverowind
  • Mortal Online 2
  • Powerslide Legends
  • RAZE 2070
  • Recall
  • REFERENCE 666
  • Severed Steel
  • Soul Dossier
  • To Hell With It
  • Twin Stones: The Journey of Bukka
  • Uncrashed: FPV Drone Simulator
  • Unknown Woods
  • Wakamarina Valley, New Zealand
  • Yag

Recall that this technology uses an AI to rescale a lower resolution image, increasing the FPS by rendering the image in a smaller resolution than the target and then rescaling it using the Tensor Cores of the RTX GPUs. This translates into more performance, which is essential at high resolutions and / or when activating Ray-Tracing.

In short, since DLSS is a free plugin, the popularity of this technology has increased significantly. Surely in the future many more games will continue to adopt it, and perhaps it will become a standard in the industry in the coming years.
