Twitter adds custom hashtag for Bitcoin

With the addition of a custom hashtag for bitcoin, Twitter, and in particular its CEO-founder, again show their attachment to the cryptocurrency of the market.

Yesterday, the boss of Twitter, Jack dorseyannounced the news by tweeting the Bitcoin hashtag, which now shows the logo Bitcoin, while notifying Twitter’s accountUnicode, the consortium responsible for the creation of emoji.

Several figures in the ecosystem responded quickly to the announcement. The CEOs of TRON and Binance welcomed this news, calling on their community to tweet the hashtag to put it on trend on the social network.

The co-founder of Lightning Labs, Elizabeth Stark, meanwhile said that two proposalsBitcoin emoji had already been refused by Unicode in the past.

Last year, Jack dorsey, who is also co-founder of the payment company Square, created Square Crypto, a subsidiary dedicated to Bitcoin.

Recently, the crypto-company announced that it is working on a development kit that will help developers to integrate the solution Lightning to their Bitcoin wallet.

According to the 43-year-old American entrepreneur, Bitcoin may one day become the native currency of the internet.
