Two more major cargo carriers have joined the blockchain platform TradeLens

IBM attracted two more major freight forwarders to work on the blockchain platform, which it owns together with Maersk.

Hapag-Lloyd and Ocean Network Express (ONE), the Singapore-based company, the fifth and sixth largest cargo carrier in the world, respectively, joined the blockchain TradeLens. In May, two major shipping companies Mediterranean Shipping Co (MSC) and CMA CGM also joined

Outside of Maersk and its subsidiary Hamburg Süd, TradeLens has been launched
in 2018. At that time, 94 companies and organizations, including more than 20 ports and terminals in Hong Kong, Singapore, Rotterdam, Halifax, and the customs services of the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Australia, logistics companies Agility, CEVA Logistics, DAMCO and Kotahi used the platform.
