We can now test our graphics card with the EzBench benchmark and see how it performs with Unreal Engine 5 and Ray Tracing

Even though Unreal Engine 5 was announced just a month ago, it’s already making its way into games and software. One of these software is EzBench, which is a benchmark test for graphics cards, which is free and has support for ray tracing and 8K textures.

The free benchmark is available at Steam and will make the PCs of many sweat hard. The presentation video shows the test running on a PC with an Intel Core i9-12900k and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090. The powerful GPU can barely maintain 60 FPS.

The developer makes it clear that the “tool is a stress test and represents the worst possible case”. The benchmark strongly recommends a video card with at least 8 GB of video memory.

The RTX 3090 used in the test by the developer scored 39,120 points. An RTX 2080 Ti reaches 22,200 points, as shown by the test on the website of ComputerBase.

So with this, if you have any GPUs with Ray Tracing hardware, like AMD Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards, or RTX 20xx and RTX 30xx, you can download the benchmark and see how they suffer. But if on the contrary they have GTX 1660 type cards, it is possible that you will not get a good result, since with this card you will have a maximum of 5FPS, in addition to the fact that it will take more than 10 minutes to take the test.
