Zaporozhye NPP disconnected from the Ukrainian energy system

SIMFEROPOL, 8 Oct – PRIME. As a result of the shelling by the armed formations of Ukraine, the last communication line connecting the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant with the energy system of Ukraine was damaged, said the chairman of the movement “We are together with Russia”, a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporizhzhya region Vladimir Rogov.

“Last night, as a result of shelling by Ukrainian troops, the last high-voltage power line connecting the nuclear plant with the Ukrainian energy system was damaged and turned off,” he told RIA Novosti reporters Rogov.

In particular, according to him, the Dneprovskaya power line, with a capacity of 750 kV, was damaged.

Rogov also said that because of the shelling, the ZNPP automatically switched to the operation of diesel generators.

According to him, Ukraine deliberately interrupted the last power line and strikes at the thermal power plant in Energodar in order to prevent the launch of nuclear power units.
