MOSCOW, 12 Oct — PRIME. The Polish operator of the Druzhba oil pipeline reported a leak on one of the two lines of the pipeline that occurred on Tuesday evening.
Serbia allows connection to Druzhba oil pipeline
Late on Tuesday, Pern’s automation systems detected a leak in the Druzhba pipeline on one of the two strings of the western section of the gas pipeline.
Pumping through the damaged line was immediately stopped, the second line is operating as before. Emergency services and firefighters attended the scene. It is expected that they will carry out work to restore the pipe.
The reasons for the depressurization are still unknown, the operator said.
The oil pipeline is the main route for the supply of raw materials to Germany.
