A photograph of the Gigabyte Z690 AORUS ELITE AX DDR4 leaks

There is less and less time for the launch of the Z690 motherboards, compatible with the new Alder Lake-S processors, and today the first photograph of a motherboard with this chipset was released, the Gigabyte Z690 AORUS ELITE AX DDR4.

The photograph was posted by the user @9550pro and shows us the box for the Chinese market, which has an image of the motherboard and its main specifications, letting us know how it will look and what hardware it will support.

From what we see in the image, this motherboard will have a powerful 19-phase VRM, with 16 phases of 70A for the VCPU, 1 phase for the VCCGT, and 2 phases for the VCCAUX. We also see that it will have support for PCI-E 5.0 in its main PCI-E x16 slot, and apparently one of its four slots for M.2 SSDs will also use this interface. Other specs include 4 DDR4 ram ports, HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort video outputs, and connections for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth.

According to the listing that Gigabyte made to the EEC, the company also prepares a DDR5 version of this Z690 AORUS ELITE AX, so if you liked this model but wanted a model with DDR5, the company will have you covered. In total Gigabyte is preparing 27 Z690 motherboards, so they will have multiple options to choose from.

Z690 motherboards are expected to arrive on November 4 alongside Alder Lake-S CPUs. They will probably be announced on October 27, since that day the processors will be officially announced and their pre-sale will begin, so there is little left to know them officially.

What do you think about the Gigabyte Z690 AORUS ELITE AX DDR4? Do you like its design or do you prefer to go for some other model?
