Acer TravelMate B3, Spin B3 and Chromebook 712 official: specifications and prices

Acer expands its offer of laptops for education and announces the arrival on the market of three new products: the notebook TravelMate B3, the convertible TravelMate Spin B3 and the ChromeBook 712. We are faced with laptops aimed at the low-end segment, far from the solutions seen recently at CES in Las Vegas (for example the new Acer Spin 5 and Spin 3) and designed especially for students who do not have too many claims (see primary schools) and look a lot to autonomy, endurance and obviously the price.

Let's start with the two products belonging to the TravelMate line, the notebook TravelMate B3 and the convertible TravelMate Spin B3, substantially identical in terms of hardware configuration and display size, a little less for the price. The specs aren't exciting, especially if we look at the 11.6 "HD panel (si HD) and ai Intel Celeron and Pentium Silver processors as the only option.

Both laptops comply with the MIL-STD 810G standard and guarantee autonomy up to 12 hours (Acer data), as for availability, we are talking about April with prices of $ 239 and $ 329respectively for TravelMate B3 and TravelMate Spin B3.

Acer Chromebook 712 instead it offers slightly more interesting hardware options and can be configured with 10th generation Intel Core processors up to Core i3. The laptop uses a 12-inch display (3: 2 format), to be precise an IPS panel with HD + resolution (1366×912 px) always managed by Intel UHD integrated graphics.
