ADATA will showcase its new PCI-E 5.0 SSDs with speeds of up to 14GB / s during CES 2022

ADATA announced its participation in CES 2022, and revealed that among the products that it will announce during the event will be its new SSDs with PCI-E 5.0 interface, capable of reaching speeds of up to 14GB / s, doubling the speed compared to current SSDs.

At the moment these SSDs are in the design phase and therefore the products shown will be prototypes and not final versions for consumers. That they are prototypes makes it even more impressive, since reaching these speeds without the final hardware or firmware is not an easy task, and therefore once your design is completed the results will be amazing.

The first prototype to be shown by the company is called “Project Nighthawk” and is based on the Silicon Motion SM2508 controller. It achieves a 14GB / s sequential read speed and a 12GB / s sequential write speed, which is absolutely insane. The second model is called “Project Blackbird” and is based on the InnoGrit IG5666 controller. It also reaches a sequential read speed of 14GB / s, although its reading is somewhat lower, reaching 10GB / s, which is absolutely insane anyway compared to the SSDs we have on the market today.

In addition to these new SSDs, ADATA will also show its new DDR5 memories, its new 80 Plus Platinum certified CYBERCORE sources, a prototype of its XPG BATTLECRUISER PRO enclosure, and its new AIO XPG LEVANTE PRO with LCD screen, latest generation Asetek pumps, and XPG VENTO PRO 120mm fans, having products for all tastes.

CES 2022 runs from January 5-8 and we are sure to see news not only from ADATA but from all the major hardware manufacturers, so stay tuned to HD Technology in the first half of January to stay on top of all the news.
