About a week ago, AMD released the first general beta (beta 3) of Catalyst 13.2 with the promise of improving uneven rendering times in Skyrim, Borderlands 2 and Guild Wars 2. Now another preview version of the February driver package is released and this time it’s about higher frame rate, mainly for Crysis 3.
What’s new in Catalyst 13.2 Beta 5
Crysis 3 Multiplayer Beta: Up to 40% better scaling in Crossfire
Crysis 3 Multiplayer Beta: Up to 50% better performance at 4x and 8x MSAA (from Beta 4)
Far Cry 3: Up to 10% better performance at 2560×1600 pixels (8x AA)
New 3DMark: Support for Crossfire profiles in Windows 8
In addition to significant performance increases for Crysis 3 Multiplayer Beta, AMD also delivers support for Crossfire in the newly launched 3DMark. As usual, the changes apply to all modern graphics cards in the Radeon series, from the 5000 series and upwards.
Catalyst 13.2 Beta 5 works with Windows 8, Windows 7 and Windows Vista and can be downloaded from AMD’s website.
