“Radeon HD 7000 series in focus for a long time to come”

In addition to the occasional monster model, there is a certain silence in the graphics card market. AMD and Nvidia have had complete families of 28 nanometer graphics cards for some time, but despite this, the next generation seems to be delayed.

In a post on Twitter, AMD’s marketing director Robert Hallock reveals that the existing Radeon HD 7000 series will be “the main focus for a long time to come”. This is in line with previous information to SweClockers, which says that the next generation of graphics cards will be postponed until the end of the year.

However, the lack of new graphics processors does not stop AMD from launching new series. Radeon HD 8000 “Solar System” are graphics parts for laptops with the architecture Graphics Core Next, while Radeon HD 8000 for OEM manufacturers are renamed graphics cards from the existing 7000 series.
