AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 arrives on 16 new games, including Hitman 3 and Microsoft Flight Simulator
AMD let it be known that 16 new games will support FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0and among these there will be some titles that are particularly loved by players such as Hitman 3 e Microsoft Flight Simulator. 19 new video game development teams will adopt the upscaling technique, which has bridged the quality gap with DLSS, with the result that, in the near future, we will see many more games with FSR 2.0 support.
Oltre ai due gi citati, anche Abyss World, Asterigos, Delysium, EVE Online, Forspoken, Grounded, NiShuiHan, Overprime, Perfect World Remake, Rescue Party: Live!, Super People, Swordsman Remake, The Callisto Protocol e Unknown 9: Awakening, avranno FSR 2.0, mentre lo avevano gi Death loop, Farming Simulator 22 e God of War.
FSR 1.0, meanwhile, also arrives on new games, with 7 titles that now include support: Arma Reforger, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Dolmen, Hitman 3, Raji: An Ancient Epic Enhanced Edition, Sniper Elite 5, The Elder Scrolls Online and V Rising. Although FSR 1.0 is a much more basic technique than the new version, which includes an analysis of previous frames and handles more complex motion vectors enabling better quality, it is much easier to implement than FSR 2.0. The latter, in fact, requires developers more time, especially if the game did not originally include support for FSR 1.0.
According to some tests from AMD, God of War gains up to 45% in terms of performance, thanks to FSR 2.0. This benchmark is for the game running in Ultra detail and 4K resolution. With an RX 6950 XT, the game runs at the native resolution at 60 fps, while with FSR 2.0 Qualit it goes up to 83 fps. With the other available FSR 2.0 settings, Balanced and Performance, it achieves 90 and 96 fps respectively.
