AMD, Intel and Nvidia at Computex 2021

Hopes for a physical Computex 2021 went unsurprisingly and, like the 2020 edition, have been transformed into a digital event. Last year, the organizer TAITRA waited until the last minute to give notice and with the uncertainty that followed, the participating companies chose on their own initiative to back out. This will not be the case this year, where digital support is high.

Earlier in May, AMD announced that they will hold a court on June 1, and now competitors Intel and Nvidia go out with their respective participations. First out is Intel, which on 31 May at 04:00 Swedish time will talk about its strategic direction under the new CEO Pat Gelsinger. Digitally present are representatives on the consumer side, Xeon and Memory Group.

Next in line is Nvidia on 31 May at 16:00 with a focus on everything from gaming to data center. One of the speakers is Geforce boss Jeff Fisher, which probably means unveiling new products. In February, it was Fisher who presented the Geforce RTX 3060 and this time it is almost guaranteed that the RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3080 Ti will be on the menu.

Last out on June 1 at 04:00 is AMD’s CEO Lisa Su. It is stated that she will talk about the company’s vision for the future, details about “High-Performance Computing” which in the AMD context is often synonymous with processors, and Radeon graphics cards for enthusiasts and gamers. Pre-tipped is a new generation Ryzen Threadripper with 64 cores of architecture Zen 3, a “refresh” of the Ryzen 5000 series with higher clock frequencies and a Radeon RX 6000M series for laptops.

In other words, it will be a couple of packed days and of course SweClocker’s editorial staff is ready to cover the latest from the computer world’s three giants.
