AMD prepares Radeon R7 265, R9 280 and graphics cards with dual Hawaii circuits

A lot is expected to happen in the graphics card market in the lower price ranges, much as a result of Nvidia’s impending Geforce GTX 750 Ti and GTX 750. In addition to the newly launched Radeon R7 250X, AMD has another card up its sleeve to counter Nvidia.

According to sources at VR-Zone, AMD plans to launch the Radeon R7 265 soon, which according to the data is based on the same graphics processor as the Radeon HD 7850. This would mean that the graphics card has 1,024 stream processors and a 256-bit memory bus with 2 GB GDDR5.

There have been rumors for months about a Radeon R9 280, something that is now about to become a reality. Not entirely unexpectedly, it should be a graphics card similar to the Radeon HD 7950, which would mean 1,792 stream processors, 384-bit memory bus and 3 GB GDDR5.

Finally, AMD will also have a model in progress for the absolute top class based on the latest graphics processor Hawaii, which is used in the Radeon R9 290X and R9 290. No further details than that are clear and the graphics card should be ready to enter the stage at the electronics fair Computex at the earliest 2014.
