After about an hour of delay, AMD’s live broadcast of GPU Tech Day began online, after Youtube blocked the video stream due to copyright issues with the pause music (!). After the technicians found an alternative solution, AMD was finally able to present the news in the next generation Radeon.

AMD chooses to introduce the newcomers by telling about the overall news. Not entirely unexpectedly, most of it is about the flagship Radeon R9 290X “Hawaii XT”, which with six billion transistors will be a full-fledged challenger to the current performance king Geforce GTX Titan.
However, the technical details will be saved for a later time. Instead, AMD is suitable for presenting investments in 4K resolution, GPGPU-accelerated sound with AMD True Audio and not least the DirectX-like programming interface Mantle API. In addition, the optimization program Gaming Evolved App is introduced, a separate equivalent to Geforce Experience.
In other words, it will contract into a real battle on the graphics card front in the coming weeks.
