AMD Radeon R9 280X and R9 270X

Anyone who has been involved in the news reporting could not possibly have missed that AMD is about to roll out a new generation of graphics cards in the Radeon series. At the GPU Tech Day press conference, not just a single model was unveiled, but a whole family of graphics cards, which will take up the fight against the Geforce GTX 700 series just in time for the launch of Battlefield 4 and not least the start of the always equally important Christmas trade.

While the performance hunters have to wait a little longer for the flagships Radeon R9 290 and R9 290X, AMD begins the new generation with a couple of familiar creations. First out are the Radeon R9 280X and R9 270X, where most revolve around a lot of performance for the money. It’s time to put the newcomers to the test in SweClocker’s test lab.
