AMD Radeon R9 Fury from Asus and Sapphire

A couple of weeks ago, AMD took up the battle for the performance crown and launched the flagship Radeon R9 Fury X. Under the shell was the fresh graphics circuit Fiji, which would prove to offer raw performance at particularly high resolutions and impressive energy efficiency.

However, the company’s decision to lock out the partner manufacturers’ own designs from the launch was not popular with enthusiasts, who were instead forced into a card with a pre-assembled water cooling package of dubious quality.

Today, it’s finally time for some of the partner manufacturers to show what they can do with their own Fiji graphics processor. The Radeon R9 Fury is on the doorstep and two models from Asus and Sapphire arrive at the test lab, with their own air-oriented cooling solutions and factory overclocking on the menu.
