The Radeon RX 480 and the Polaris graphics family are on the doorstep. Many details are already known and the card has been taken apart in a picture, but tests of performance and proper price information for us in the Nordics still shine with their absence.
Indications about the latter now come via PriceSpy and the dealer Misco. Listed on each website is nothing less than the Sapphire Radeon RX 480 8 GB. The price tag is set at SEK 2,703 including VAT, which can be compared with AMD’s target level of USD 229 – corresponding to approximately SEK 2,350 including VAT.
The AMD Radeon RX 480 will be launched on June 29 and comes in two different reference versions. The difference lies in the amount of graphics memory, where one variant has 4 GB GDDR5 for 199 dollars and the other 8 GB GDDR5 for the target price 229 dollars. This corresponds to approximately SEK 2,150 and SEK 2,450, including VAT.
