AMD Radeon RX 590 from HIS and Asrock finds out on the web

During the summer of 2016, the Polaris graphics architecture took its place in AMD’s mid-range cards in the Radeon RX 400 series, which in 2017 was followed by the RX 500 series with slightly higher clock frequencies and energy efficiency. In recent weeks, rumors and images about the RX 590 model have been circulating, which according to information is another Polaris-based one where the parade number is increased clock frequencies through production of 12 nanometers.

Now two more models of the graphics card are appearing on the web and this time it is about contributions from the manufacturers Asrock and HIS. Taiwanese Asrock debuted in the graphics card market earlier this year with the Phantom Gaming series, which includes products based on AMD’s Radeon RX Vega and RX 500 series.

The company’s variant of the RX 590 will also be part of the Phantom Gaming series and inherits many aesthetic features from the siblings, where the gray cover has red details and is accompanied by two fans and a cover plate for the back. The picture connections consist of a DVI-D, two HDMI and as many Displayports and are accompanied by a power supply via a single 8-pin ATX connector.

The model from HIS has the name RX 590 Iceq X² and its specifications have found out on the web through the forum Reddit. The clock frequencies are stated to be at 2,000 MHz, which would mean an increase of about 700 MHz compared to the RX 580. The figure is also much higher than the 1,680 MHz that was glimpsed for the RX 590 in overclocked mode and probably incorrect. The clock frequency of the Asrock card is unknown, but 8 GB of GDDR5 memory is common to both.

A Radeon RX 590 model was recently listed for the equivalent of SEK 5,200, but Videocardz believes that the expected price tag for the Asrock model is instead close to the recommended price for the RX 580. Furthermore, Videocardz writes that the launch will take place on November 15, but official data from AMD is missing.
