AMD Radeon RX 6900 XTX with water cooling can be found on the web

With last year’s launch of the Radeon RX 6000 series, AMD beat many expectations and was able to compete in the top tier for the first time in a long time. First came the Radeon RX 6800 and RX 6800 XT, which were later followed by the flagship RX 6900 XT. Common to these was the graphics circuit Navi 21 where things like the number of activated cores and binning separated the graphics cards.

During the year, Sapphire, Powercolor and Asrock launched the Radeon RX 6900 XT with what is said to be an XTX variant of the graphics circuit Navi 21, with even higher binning than regular RX 6900 XT. What this means in practice is that these are circuits of better quality, which can handle higher clock frequencies at a lower voltage than Navi 21 in the regular RX 6900 XT.

Pictures are now being published of AMD’s own variant of the Radeon RX 6900 XTX. The graphics card in the picture is said to be an early engineering copy, which AMD has chosen not to launch. Like previous flagships such as the RX Vega 64 Liquid Edition and R9 Fury X, the graphics card has a full-coverage housing without fans and is instead cooled by a closed water cooler with a 120 mm radiator.

Why AMD put the Radeon RX 6900 XTX on the shelf is not known, but it is speculated that the non-existent availability is the reason and that they have therefore chosen to release the few circuits available to partner manufacturers.
