Last week, AMD released a new driver that introduced support for the VR headsets HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. With the launch of Remedy’s latest title Quantum Break, they are now updating their software suite Radeon Software with optimizations for the game.
According to AMD’s change log, the new driver will offer optimizations for Quantum Break, with up to 35 percent better performance in the game for users of Radeon R9 Fury X. In addition, it also contains bug fixes of various kinds, where the big one is that they fixed the problems with the image update cap that Tonga- and Fiji-based graphics cards have had in some DirectX 12 applications.
Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.4.1 works with Windows 7 or later and is available for download through the company’s support pages.
