AMD: “Reviews Must Be Fair”

Soon it’s time for the Radeon R9 Nano to see the light of day, but far from all reviewers are allowed on the train. The omission of several large pages is officially attributed to a lack of resources, something that dispels rumors that AMD has problems with the manufacture of the complex graphics processor Fiji.

When Tarun “btarunr” Balraj from Techpowerup expressed his disappointment on Twitter that they are not allowed to test the Radeon R9 Nano until launch day, AMD profile Roy Taylor responds briefly and concisely that “reviews must be fair”. He then leaves the discussion without clarifying the meaning of his statement.

Exactly what is meant is thus open to interpretation, but what is most obvious is that Taylor, either as a private person or as AMD, believes that Techpowerup has wronged the company in previous editorial content, something that may have played a role in the allocation of what is believed to be a limited number of graphics cards.

Radeon R9 Nano will be launched on September 10 and will have a recommended price of 649 dollars, ie the same target price as the water-cooled R9 Fury X, which is available for SEK 6,990 including VAT at Swedish dealers.
