AMD suggests next generation Radeon for desktops and laptops this fall

A few months ago, Nvidia introduced the first graphics card in the new Geforce GTX 700 series, but so far AMD has not presented any countermeasures. Instead, most point to the fact that it will be some time before the end of the year before the Radeon HD 7000 series is replaced by new graphics cards.

In July, August and September, AMD will hold training sessions for hardware partners in Taiwan, where future products will be sold. An attentive user on Guru3D captures the schedule in a picture, which provides several important clues about AMD’s future plans.

First out is a course on upcoming graphics processors for mobile devices, including laptops. These are part of the upcoming Crystals family, something that is fittingly illustrated by a bunch of colorful stones.

This is followed by training on upcoming processors with integrated graphics (APU). The newcomers Beema and Mullins are the names of the sequels to today’s Kabini and Temash. These apparently remain on the Jaguar platform and are intended for the 2014 model year.

Last but not least, training is held in the next generation of graphics cards for desktops, which make up the Volcanic Islands family. The course will be held on September 26, which can be considered to strengthen previous information about an introduction in connection with the launch of Battlefield 4 in October.

Three Polynesian musicians probably symbolize Hawaii, which is believed to be the code name for the most lavish graphics processor in the new Radeon series.
