Android 6.0.1 update for Nvidia Shield Tablet

Android 6.0.1 update: NVIDIA Shield Tablet

The Nvidia Shield Tablet K1 received the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update about a month ago, and now it’s the older Nvidia Shield Tablet. However, we are talking about Android 6.0.1, an update released for this model.

The update also includes a security patch that was released for Android in March, and its presence indicates that we are dealing with the same software package that was released for the Shield Tablet K1 4 weeks ago. Updates must be checked manually by going to the “Settings” section on the tablet. As usual, the update brings a bunch of fixes and new features.

The original NVIDIA tablet will get Google Now on Tap, the new NVIDIA Shield Camera UI, improved app permission management, adaptable storage (MicroSD can be used as internal storage), and improved battery usage with Doze. Shield Tablet was last updated at the beginning of this year.
