Mining giant Crypto Bitmain has announced the official delivery data for two new models from the Antminer S17 range. The new models will be sold in three lots from September 9 to September 11 and will be shipped until November.
Antminer S17
The best-performing model, the Antminer S17e has a hash rate of 64 TH / s and an energy efficiency of 45J / TH. The model costs $ 3293 and ships in December.
The cheaper version at $ 2727, S17, has a hash rate of 53 TH / s and an efficiency rate of 45 J / TH in normal power mode.
Antminer T17e
The second new Antminer, the T17e, costs just $ 1,665 and provides a hash rate of 53 TH / s and energy efficiency of 55 J / TH. It seems to offer hash power equal to the S17, but less efficiency. The model is already sold out on the manufacturer’s website.
In his announcement, Bitmain claimed:
“Both new models have been designed for more stable long-term operations to reduce customer maintenance costs. This is made possible by double tube heat dissipation technology, which improves the efficiency of heat dissipation. “
They are also loaded with new software to make them “safer” than previous models.
Chinese manufacturer Bitmain also said that those who will be late for delivering “e” models will be compensated with coupons “based on PPS rewards of the mining basin (cost of electricity deducted)”.
