MOSCOW, 14 Sep — PRIME. Apple Inc plans to use an updated version of Taiwanese manufacturer TSMC’s latest chip technology in iPhones and Macbooks next year, Nikkei Asia reported on Wednesday.
In Russia, the price of the iPhone 13 fell sharply
The A17 mobile processor, which is currently under development, will be mass-produced using TSMC’s N3E chip manufacturing technology and is expected to be available in the second half of next year, the source said.
A17 will be used in the premium version of the iPhone, which is scheduled for release in 2023, the publication adds.
Apple declined to comment, and TSMC has not responded to a Reuters request at the time of writing.

The current iPhone model is equipped with the A15 processor chip, and at a recent event, Apple said that the iPhone 14 Pro models will also be equipped with this chip.
TSMC controls about 54% of the global contract manufacturing market for chips, supplying them to companies such as Apple and Qualcomm Inc.
