Apple's new MacBook Air display is back in the spotlight

The latest DigiTimes report has shed new light on the display of Apple’s new MacBook Air 2022. Yes – we are talking about the alleged mini-LED matrix, which the company is supposed to surprise us by providing an advanced screen in its much cheaper, compared to MacBook Pro, equipment.

Current versions of the MacBook Air use LCD panels, but for a long time leaks and unofficial sources mention that Apple will replace them with much more advanced mini-LEDs. These allow you to dynamically adjust the refresh rate, which in turn significantly reduces the demand for performance and therefore power consumption.

Apparently, the 13.3-inch display will still be at stake, but when it comes to the launch of the new Mac Air, we still do not know much. However, the words of the analyst Ming-Chi Kuo indicated that the model will go into mass production in the third quarter of next year.

Apple, however, had to devote much more work and time to this model than we think. Compared to its predecessors, the MacBook Air 2022 will see significant design and hardware changes.

These changes could result in a lighter chassis with a MagSafe charging port and several USB 4 ports, providing users with additional versatility. It can also reach for the new generation Apple M2 chipset, which will serve as a direct successor to the M1.
