Arc A380, A350 and more: Intel leaks the names of the video cards before the debut

Some internal documents leaked in the past had partly anticipated it, but now we have the certainty: the first generation of GPU dedicate Intel Arc will arrive on the market under the trade name “Arc aXXX“, where the” a “will stand for Alchemist and the” X “for a progressive numerical figure that should convey the performance level of each model.

To tell us are the lines of code of the drivers 30.0.101.9999, accidentally published by Intel and equipped with some IDs that reveal the names of some products ahead of time. The drivers indicate the names of two desktop video cards, Intel Arc A380 e A350, but together with as many mobile solutions called Arc A370M e A350M.

It could be the launch lineup that will mark the return of the Santa Clara house in the world of dedicated GPUs, but we are quite certain that those names do not represent the entire range, also because those models – according to rumors – should cover the low end of the market, clashing with upcoming NVIDIA and AMD products, such as the RTX 3050 and RX 6400, also unveiled in early 2022.

An unspecified “Iris Xe A200M“, of which at the moment, however, we do not know anything. The code name always appears in the code”Elasti“, in the past tied back to GPUs DG3 that should shape the second generation of Intel Arc solutions “Battlemage“.

Waiting for official news on features and performance (we expect some information at CES 2022 on January 4, 2022), we have confirmation of the rumors of the past: should Intel continue to follow this pattern, the future GPUs Battlemage, Celestial e Druid they will be called Arc bXXX, Arc cXXX e Arc dXXX.
