Are the ‘new’ GeForce RTX 3060 and RTX 3060 Ti coming at the end of October?

A few days ago a leaker signaled the possible arrival of new models of GeForce RTX 3000 video cardsalthough NVIDIA is now getting closer and closer to introducing products from the GeForce RTX 4000 range. Apparently, the cards are really planning with a debut set around the end of October.

According to sources of Videocardz within NVIDIA’s AIB partners, there would be two models coming in an attempt not only to get rid of excess Ampere chips, but also to “offer more cards in the mid-range, where competition is growing“.

NVIDIA would have a GeForce RTX 3060 with 8GB of memory, 4GB less of the current solution on the market. Probably this difference will bring the GeForce RTX 3060 under 400 euros, noting that currently the 12 GB price lists are around 450 euros. The other planned solution is the RTX 3060 Ti with GDDR6X memory, which will likely result in a performance improvement, albeit likely to be small.

At the moment there are no confirmations on the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti with GA102 GPU mentioned by the leaker, but it cannot be excluded that this solution finds space only in specific markets. These rumors confirm NVIDIA’s intention to bring only the high-end GeForce RTX 4000 to the market, leaving the RTX 3000 at the center of the offer for a long time after the launch of the new series.

The appointment with the presentation of the GeForce RTX 4000, we remind you, is scheduled with a live streaming on September 20 at 17:00 during the GTC 2022.
