Asus announces customized variants of AMD Radeon RX Vega 64

Yesterday, AMD presented two new graphics processors based on the new Vega architecture. These are the Radeon RX Vega 56 and RX Vega 64 models, where each GPU has a TDP value of 210 W and 295 W, which are cooled in reference versions where both air cooling and water cooling are on the agenda.

Shortly after the unveiling, Asus is now introducing a pair of bespoke variants of the AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 flagship. Exactly what frequencies the cards get, however, is still unknown.

In terms of the cooling device, these are three fans in combination with Asus’ new “MaxContact” technology, which provides a doubled contact between the radiator and the graphics processor compared to previous cards. A great focus is also placed on RGB lighting where the card supports “Aura Sync”, a technology that enables synchronization of the lighting across several components.

The launch date has not been nailed down, but Asus mentions early September as the launch window. The prices for the cards were not mentioned.
