ASUS launches a Shift key in graphics card format with real fans

It is still difficult to find a new GPU at an affordable price in 2022, but ASUS seems to have found the solution to the problem, since I earn billions in 2021 thanks to mining, something has to be done, right? The company has launched a custom key, with which we can replace the Shift key on our keyboard, in the form of a small graphics card with fully functional fans.

For now only available in China, the product is officially known as Asus ROG Strix TouchStone and has several features that make it different from a traditional key. In addition to bearing the Republic of Gamers branding and the company’s signature triple-fan design, it’s constructed from an aluminum alloy that ensures durability.

So far it is not clear if the launch means that the manufacturer is entering this market, and we will see other keys… According to Asus, it is necessary to have a mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX system (or similar) so that the installation of the part is possible.

While the Asus ROG Strix TouchStone fans are capable of spinning, the manufacturer notes that the product does not do so automatically. The ZFrontierChina website lists the product at 399 Chinese yuan, equivalent to 6 US dollars.

The market for custom keys gained popularity with mechanical keyboards, which allow changes to be made without damaging the structure.
