Anyone who owns a Geforce GTX 660 Ti from Asus can look forward to better performance when the manufacturer releases a new firmware for all graphics cards in the series. The new software trims the settings for the automatic overclocking function GPU Boost, which gives higher average clock speeds.
Asus new firmware for Geforce GTX 660 Ti
model | Earlier | New | 3DMark 11 |
---|---|---|---|
GTX660 TI-DC2T-2GD5 | 140 W TDP | 155 W TDP | +5 % |
GTX660 TI-DC2O-2GD5 | 140 W TDP | 155 W TDP | +8 % |
GTX660 TI-DC2-2GD5 | 135 W TDP | 140 W TDP | +3 % |
The new settings also increase the TDP barriers from 135 or 140 W to 140 and 155 W, respectively, depending on the model in question. These measures are said to result in three to eight percent better performance in, for example, 3DMark 11.
The new software is available as a regular download from the Asus website.
