Better access to graphics cards at the end of May

A general shortage of graphics cards in the transition to new manufacturing technology is the rule rather than the exception. In the 28-nanometer generation, it is mainly Nvidia that is affected with only sporadic deliveries of the Geforce GTX 680, but AMD also feels the shortcoming and the supply is far from what it should be.

Now the Taiwanese trade magazine Digitimes reports that it may be released at the end of May. The semiconductor manufacturer TSMC is gradually increasing the production of circuits by 28 nanometers, and within a couple of weeks the situation could be noticeably better.

At the same time, it is reported that AMD is preparing a new round of price reductions to counter Nvidia’s entry into lower price ranges. The green team will introduce the Geforce GTX 670 on May 10, followed by more models with slimmed-down graphics processors, an area in which AMD has so far been the only one in the new generation.
