The Bitpanda exchange, registered in Vienna, successfully completed an IEO of 43.6 million euros. The funds obtained by selling the BEST token will be used for the development of the Bitpanda Global Exchange. The platform will operate in 54 countries.
GE Bitpanda is dedicated to professional traders and experienced institutional investors. The exchange offers crypto-crypto trading worldwide and fiat-to-crypto trading in more than 54 countries. BEST token holders will benefit from significant discounts on trading fees, which the company promises will be the smallest in the industry.
Robinhood receives operating license in the United Kingdom
Robinhood, the stock and cryptocurrency trading application, has announced it has received approval from the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to offer its brokerage services in the UK.
According to the blog post, this development is a “critical step” for the company to achieve its mission of “financial democratization for all”.
The Robinhood platform has not yet confirmed whether it will offer the option of cryptocurrencies to investors in the UK.
Commerzbank from Germany is exploring blockchain payment solutions
Commerzbank, Germany’s second largest bank, is exploring a blockchain-based payment solution that will not require human intervention.
The bank has already completed testing of the first use case of the solution, where it issued euros on a blockchain and collaborated with car giant Daimler Trucks, Mercedes car manufacturer to process the payment.
The use case showed that both the invoicing and subsequent payments can be processed completely automatically.
“The independent communication and the interaction between machines (called M2M) allows the settlement of mutual payments”,
said Commerzbank.
eToro is sponsoring the English Premier League
EToro has become one of the biggest sponsors of the English Premier League for the second year in a row. The brokerage and investment firm has signed sponsorship contracts for six football clubs. Aston Villa F.C., Everton F.C., Cryptal Palace F.C., Leicester City F.C., Southhampton F.C. and Tottenham Hotspurs F.C.
Apparently, the sponsorship of Everton F.C. it is worth about 9.6 million euros, and for Spurs it amounts to 35 million euros per season. Some of these payments are settled using cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin.
