Blockchain com plans to raise $ 50 million in a new round of financing

The operator of the largest online wallet, Blockchain.com, announced that it will hold a new round of financing, during which it plans to raise $ 50 million.

According to Yahoo! Finance, which refers to two anonymous sources, Blockchain.com is already negotiating funds that it will use to invest in shares and purchase cryptocurrency tokens. Sam Harrison, who joined the company in 2018 to become a co-founder of Blockchain Ventures, is responsible for raising funds.

Blockchain.com sought to diversify its presence in the cryptocurrency industry. For example, last fall, the company launched the distribution of Stellar tokens for $ 125 million for identification. Also last month, Blockchain.com criticized for the failure to implement SegWit in their services.

At the end of last month, the company announced that it was integrating the BitPay payment system into its wallet. This will allow Blockchain.com wallet users to make payments to merchants who use BitPay as a payment processor. In addition, in July of this year, Blockchain.com launched its own exchange. Now the site is in the process of obtaining licenses in several jurisdictions.
