Can you buy event skins in Apex Legends? – Easy Steps

Can you buy event skins in Apex Legends?

Apex Legends has regular events throughout the year. They often have a theme, but they all bring new items to unlock. Items are generally unlocked when a player completes challenges in an event. The event and the challenges are mostly time-limited, which means that you have a limited amount of time to complete them and unlock the items in an event.

Event skins in Apex Legends

Apex Legends is free to play, but that doesn’t mean the game isn’t an in-game store or currency. By contrast, Apex Legends has an in-game currency called ‘Apex Coins’ and these coins cannot be earned through any in-game activity, i.e. by completing events or earning an achievement. They must be purchased with real money.

Buy Event Skins in Apex Legends

Event skins in Apex Legends can be purchased for money. They may not be available to buy immediately after an event is complete, but they will eventually hit the market and you will be able to purchase them.

Prices for skins tend to differ based on skin type, but generally cost 1800 Apex Coins. Some may cost more and some may cost less.

Apex Legends has three different types of currencies in the game. Apex Coins can only be purchased with real cash, however you can earn Legend Tokens and Crafted Metals. These coins can also be used to purchase skins, however the mask will cost considerably more when using these coins.

Apex Coin Packs

Apex Coins are purchased for real money and come in the following packages.

  • 1,000 Apex Coins: $ 10
  • 2,000 Apex Coins: $ 20
  • 4000 Apex Coins: $ 40
  • 6000 Apex Coins: $ 60
  • 10,000 Apex Coins: $ 100

As you can see, the coins are not exactly cheap. In USD terms, the largest packages value a single coin at one cent (1 cent), while the smallest ones value it at one cent (10 cents). Skins start at 1800 Apex Coins, so it won’t be cheap to buy, let alone buy multiple. It is better to try to win them in the game by completing challenges.

conclusion

Skins can eventually be discounted to be cheaper, but that is unlikely to happen with new skins or skins that are exceptionally popular. For some players, completing challenges is not worth the time to get a single skin they like and end up buying it. For others, gaining skin is half the fun. If you buy a skin and use it in game, other players won’t be able to know how you got it. That said, your profile stats can reveal what events and challenges you completed (or didn’t complete) and give you away.
