Capcom reported record financial results

The next period of publication by large and not very gaming publishers and developers has begun of the financial results of their activities for the third quarter of the 2020/2021 fiscal year. It was Capcom’s turn to decided to combine its results in the nine-month segment of the current fiscal year. It turned out quite impressively, because according to the results of the specified period, Capcom has experienced a record growth in the entire history of the company.

According to the company’s statistics, for the above period compared to the same period for the previous financial year, net sales of its projects increased by 22.6%, operating profit increased by 32.2%, and net profit – by 34.1%.

Long-term sales of the company’s games, including the Resident Evil 3 remake and Monster Hunter World, have contributed much to this growth, Capcom says. Separately, the release of a special version of Devil May Cry for the next generation consoles is noted. The full fiscal year that Capcom will release sometime after March 31 is also expected to be the best in the company’s history.

As for the forecasts, they are optimistic. In particular, the company has high hopes for Monster Hunter Rise and Resident Evil Village. Unfortunately, companies do not yet want to look into the relatively near future and imagine what their financial results will look like after the end of the pandemic and the smooth return of people to their usual, and not home, reclusive life.
