On Friday the Chinese customs authorities have seized 5,840 XFX-branded video cards. The GPUs were transiting into Huanggang (Shenzen) port from Hong Kong when customs inspectors noticed that some video cards had incorrectly labeled boxes – the real labels were covered by other labels.

The investigations have led to ascertain that the load of XFX video cards was worth $ 3 million more than what was claimed. The news was spread directly by the Chinese customs authority on his account Weibo and, for the moment, it appears to be a (failed) attempt by XFX to pay less duties. The XFX China site is currently closed, as is the online store.
