Colorful shows off the Geforce GTX 1080 Kudan – graphics card with both water and air cooler

The Chinese graphics card manufacturer Colorful is relatively unknown to many consumers in Sweden, despite the fact that last year they sold both MSI, Asus and Gigabyte. This is because they focus almost exclusively on the domestic Chinese market, where the major competitors instead consist of Galaxy and Zotac.

The company has made itself known for their different graphics cards with unique cooling solutions and showed off a new one during their Colorful Games Union event. The graphics card is called Geforce GTX 1080 Kudan and is equipped with both an air and water-based cooler, where anyone who wishes can connect the cooling device to an existing water cooling system.

The card takes up a full four expansion slots due to an extra water block on the back and is powered by two 8-pin PCI Express connectors on one side of the card. Otherwise, the card has 8 GB of GDDR5X memory and comes with overclocking out of cardboard, with a nominal turbo frequency of 1,936 MHz.

When it comes to the card’s connectivity, it is equipped with a DVI, an HDMI and three Displayport inputs. The price for the model has not yet been announced, but is believed to be in the higher segment and a launch is expected in December or January.
