HIS makes the Radeon RX 460 for compact construction

Low-profile graphics card in all its glory, sometimes it can be the thickness that puts a stop to compact construction and not the size of the circuit board. HIS now unveils a Radeon RX 460 with an extra thin cooling solution, something that enables the model to take up only one expansion space in the computer.

The graphics card is called HIS Radeon RX 460 Slim-Icooler OC and has a cooler that consists of a solid aluminum construction, which is cooled by a semi-passive fan that does not spin until the graphics circuit Polaris 11 reaches 60 degrees Celsius. This should then switch off when the temperature has dropped to 50 degrees.

In terms of specifications, the HIS remains at AMD’s base frequency of 1,090 MHz for the graphics core, but increases boost a bit from 1,200 to 1,220 MHz. This is flanked by 4 GB GDDR5 at 7,000 MHz over a 128-bit memory bus. Finally, the graphics card is equipped with three picture connections – a Displayport 1.4, an HDMI 2.0b and a Dual-Link DVI.
