Comfort and ergonomics, the priorities of the Logitech Ergo K860 keyboard

Logitech Ergo K860 is the new one ergonomic keyboard, recently formalized by the manufacturer, able to make typing less tiring and stressful for hands and wrists. Direct competitor of the keyboard presented by Microsoft in October during the Surface Event, it takes up some aspects, starting from the layout of the keys.

K860 manages to reduce the muscle tension that builds up on the wrists and forearms, thanks to the palm rest raised in the center, and to a layout separated into two parts and curved keyboard. The support for the wrists is made with three layers of material, high density foam and memory foam give softness and comfort, while the surface fabric allows a good level of cleaning and maintenance.

The central part of the keyboard has a height adjustable support between two levels. From a connectivity perspective, Ergo K860 can interface with a Mac or Windows PC via a direct Bluetooth connection or via an included USB dongle, with support for up to three devices simultaneously. Like the most accredited Logitech devices, the compatibility with Flow software, to easily switch between devices.

Even if the battery is not of the rechargeable type, but, as mentioned formed by two AAA styluses, the declared autonomy – up to 2 years – is not a problem. The note of the backlighting of the keys is less positive, given the price at which the keyboard is offered.

Logitech Ergo K860 will be available from the current month in the USA, to a price equal to $ 129.99. No information, for the moment, on global marketing.
