After more than a year of discussions with the regulator, the Singaporean crypto-exchange Zipmex finally got a Licence near Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of Thailand, report TheBlock.
“The fact of being regulated by the DRY has always been our top priority, as we believe that being a regulated entity will help build confidence in new entrants looking to enter the digital asset market, "said Akalarp Yimwilai, CEO and co-founder of Zipmex.
The cryptocurrency market, which raised a total of $ 5 million, including $ 3 million earlier this fall, is now considering launching Thailand in the first quarter of 2020.
Zipmex will thus join the 5 platforms already authorized by the DRY. Note that 3 of them, including that of the giant Huobi, are not yet operational.
The Singaporean startup plans to tackle the vietnamese market.
