It wasn’t that long ago that Cooler Master introduced a new line of AiO water coolers, and now they’re back with something new. The FLUX series is characterized by a simple, elegant design combined with iterative improvements compared to its predecessor, at least according to the manufacturer. To what extent this new competitor can assert itself in the very crowded market for 240mm AiOs can be read in the following article:

packaging and scope of delivery

The shipping box has the purple-black design typical of this manufacturer and is relatively large for a 240mm AiO.

Inside, too, the familiar sight of a water cooling system packed in bags, which is protected by cardboard casing during transport, awaits us for the first time.

The included accessories consist of all kinds of small parts, screws and, of course, mounting brackets. A small tube of “Mastergel Pro” thermal paste with very little content and a Y-PWM cable for the fans complete the whole thing.

In the event that your own mainboard does not yet have ARGB connections for the lighting, Cooler Master includes a full-fledged controller that can be controlled via the internal USB port. The MasterPlus+ software is also required. If you already have a suitable connection, you can simply use the splitter cable that is also included to connect the pump and both fans.

assembly and installation

No matter which base, with this AiO, the brackets first have to be attached to the pump block with a total of four small screws. For the AM4 socket, however, it is quite easy to continue, because here the existing backplate and plastic brackets of the mainboard are used again. You simply hang the hooks in these eyelets.

Finally, tighten the two screws slightly without tools to achieve the desired contact pressure. After the cables have been laid and connected, you can start.
